Plating Services

We offer a variety of plating services. We utilize electroplating to apply a thin layer of the desired finish to the base metal. We can plate a wide variety of steel products to include stainless steel. Finished product can be 24k gold, nickel, or copper.

First we clean the metal and remove any previous coatings, we then sand the item down to remove and scratches or defects such as pitting. Our sanding process continues until the finish is clean and uniform all the way up to 2000 grit wet sanding. Then the item is polished to a mirror finish and again cleaned and degreased. The item is ready for plating, it is electrocleaned, plating with a bonding metal such as copper or nickel, then nickel plated and finally gold plated. We use 24k gold to give a deep gold color that has a high shine.
